Taking care of your body is a revolutionary act: a ritual of conscious touch

Tacto consciente tres formas de usar aceite relax smoothing oil

We have some unfinished business. We are doing better and better with our skin—our facial skin. We have learned how to hydrate it, how to protect it. We may have even incorporated double cleansing and know which serum works well for it.

We probably also know how to adapt our routine to the climate, how to give ourselves a pampering moment once a week with a face mask. We are doing great.

Our unfinished business is with our body. Sometimes we forget we have one. As we start to uncover it in spring, we realize, almost surprised, that we have dry, flaky skin on our legs. Or that, at night, when we take off our socks, they have left a reddish groove on our skin.

Maybe we beat ourselves up for not doing it more often. Or we take it almost as a chore. Because we "have to" hydrate our bodies.

Today we are here to reclaim body care. To do so, moreover, through conscious touch and from a place of compassion. So that you can claim a piece of your time and care for and pamper yourself as you deserve.

We have reformulated a product you loved to make it even better: RELAX & SMOOTHING OIL, our body oil for sensitive skin. It contains botanical oils of jojoba, sweet almond, passion fruit seed, and calendula with soothing properties. You will notice that we have now chosen lavender as the olfactory notes, which has a powerful link to the mind and provides calm and serenity.

Unlike before, when it was an oleo-gel, it is now even more nourishing and very easy to work into the skin, making it very versatile when it comes to choosing how to apply it.

How do you apply body oil?

1. You can apply RELAX to dry skin whenever you need an extra boost of hydration and nourishment. For example, at the end of the day on your legs, or after showering on areas most prone to irritation or flaking, etc. Apply a small amount and massage until absorbed. Skin is very receptive to fatty acids, and this product contains different oils that complement each other to provide you with nourishment.2. Another way is to apply it to damp skin right after getting out of the shower: the botanical oils in its formula have a "sealing" effect, and by applying it to slightly dampened skin, you will allow that water to penetrate into the deeper layers of the epidermis. This is ideal for more damaged or dry skin, and also for an intensive treatment, for example, after a day at the beach.3. RELAX & SMOOTHING OIL is also ideal for massages, or self-massages! Apply a larger amount to the areas that are most sore, such as your neck if you usually work at a computer, your legs, or your lower back… its oil texture will allow you to work the skin mindfully, and its aroma evokes a moment of peace.

Conscious touch

Caring for the body is revolutionary. Claim a piece of your time, even if it's just 5 minutes a day. Choose one of the application methods (dry, damp, or massage) and a part of the body (or all of it!). It deserves your full attention.

Pause for a few seconds and massage it in consciously. You will be hydrating the surface, and also connecting with that skin that has been with you for so long. Stay in the present, focusing only on the moment of application and the sensations in your body. Perhaps you become aware of an old injury and the pampering it deserves. Perhaps you remember that your body has changed and is different from a few years ago. With more cellulite, or stronger, or larger. Perhaps you notice more veins and it makes you think you should walk more. Speak to yourself with compassion; let those thoughts (especially the less positive ones) appear and then dismiss them. This body, at the end of the day, is the one that accompanies you and has accompanied you all this time.

That moment of conscious touch, almost like meditation, is your wellness ritual. So that you can listen to yourself and think about what your body is asking for. And it's likely that it's a bit of Relax.
