The last day of the strangest year of our lives…though to be honest, not everything has been horrible in 2020. Much has been learned and there is so much to be grateful for.
Great lessons are drawn from the most difficult moments, and 2020 has pushed us to the limit both individually and collectively. We have navigated through our shadows, felt the inability to control our lives—emotionally as well as physically—and lost loved ones before their time. It has been a “difficult” year in many respects. But we have also paused and reflected; we have remembered that our thoughts and emotions create our reality, and that we have to change the way we take things. We are more aware that only our present exists and that we must live each moment, because tomorrow may be too late.
This crisis has taught us to change our habits, to take care of ourselves physically and spiritually, and to smile even behind a mask. We have valued the little things, the ones that abound most in our routine. We have gotten closer to our loved ones and have gifted ourselves time with our family, who, even from a distance, we have felt closer to than ever. This 2020 has taught us a good lesson to take care of what matters most.
Internally, many changes have also taken place at Herbera: Successful health inspections have shown us that we are doing a good job and from which we have also learned. The launch of new products like our Safe&Beauty hydroalcoholic spray, which we created quickly to provide a healthy, organic, and vegan option to disinfect our hands with an enveloping aroma to help us forget the sense of abnormality surrounding everything. We also launched the new cleansing line with REISHI (Ganoderma lucidum), an active ingredient known in Japan as the “mushroom of eternal youth,” with which I was eager to formulate and thus delve into mycotherapy. The surprise of winning 4 AWARDS at the Organics Magazine Organics Clean Awards, including being a finalist again for best Spanish organic cosmetic brand, is one of the great joys we have experienced as a brand. Glamour, Marie Claire, ¡Hola! and more and more media outlets are talking about us. And most importantly, the team behind Herbera is growing, and that is thanks to you, because thanks to your trust, you make my dream, which is now shared, possible.
